Lucy’s Hearth is a 24-hour emergency and transitional shelter for mothers and their children who are homeless due to economic hardship, family crisis, divorce, eviction, and severe shortage of safe, affordable housing. The primary goal is to foster independence and help the residents gain the life skills necessary to prevent future chronic homelessness. |
The Women's Resource Center is a non-profit agency that provides comprehensive services to families affected by domestic violence. Services include an emergency safe home, a 24 hour helpline, court advocacy, counseling for adults and children who witness, community out reach, support groups and a youth violence prevention program offered in schools. |
Newport Community School is a non-profit agency which works in collaboration with local schools and community partners, provides educational opportunities to complement classroom learning, support academic success, encourage personal responsibility and economic self-sufficiency. They provide improved access to wellness, mental health and family support services. This program addresses barriers to learning such as inadequate family involvement, social and health services and encourages a link between home, school and the community.
The Confetti Foundation believes that sharing their mission with your employees, athletes, or students provides a measurable impact that you are giving to children who have to be hospitalized on their birthday. Teams of 25 to 1000+ can come together over Zoom to create supplies for our birthday boxes and hear a motivational speech from our founder.
Since 1978, The Housing Hotline has been a valued resource in Newport County, helping families and individuals stay in their homes with one-time grants for rental assistance and aid with shutoff notices for gas and electricity. The Housing Hotline has helped more than one hundred thousand individuals for over forty years.
